Monty Dart ( Co-Author ( with William Cross ) of  A Beautiful Nuisance: The Life and Death of the Hon. Gwyneth Ericka Morgan turns her attention to an unresolved murder in Pontypool, South Wales, in 1939. As Europe prepared for world war, and gas masks were issued to the population, a Pontypool businessman, William Lewis ( known as "Dripping Lewis") was killed in his bed. Scotland Yard detectives were summoned to help local police in the search for the murderer or murderers. The killer(s) escaped and the murder was never resolved.
